Responsible gaming: PLAY AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT

In accordance with the provisions of the valid Law on Games of Chance and subordinate regulations, the company Germania Sport d.o.o., Radnička cesta 34A, Zagreb, OIB: 75632766837, represented by Matej Miloš, Management Board member, on November 30, 2025 (hereinafter: the Organizer) adopts the following:

RULES OF RESPONSIBLE ORGANIZATION OF GAMES OF CHANCE AND RESPONSIBLE PARTICIPATION IN GAMES OF CHANCE

Introductory Provisions

Germania Sport d.o.o. as an organizer of games of chance seeks to enable players to participate in games of chance in a safe and lawful manner and to prevent or minimize the harmful consequences of excessive participation in games of chance. Participation in games of chance is not inherently a problem, but excessive gambling can cause addiction as well as social and societal problems. Therefore, responsible playing and organizing of games of chance is one of the basic principles of operating games of chance, and it involves establishing a balance between achieving profit, entertainment, player expectations, and suppressing addictive behaviors. In this regard, the Organizer takes measures and efforts aimed at promoting the responsible organization of games of chance and suppressing the negative and undesired effects of participation in games of chance. As part of the socially responsible organization of games of chance, one of the Organizer's core tasks is to ensure the protection of the interests of players and vulnerable social groups by providing necessary information with the goal of enabling players to make a sound decision regarding participation in games of chance, suppressing addictive behavior and its negative social impact.

Protection of Minors

These Rules specifically highlight the prohibition of participation in games of chance for persons under 18 years of age. The protection of minors by the Organizer is carried out primarily through mandatory player identification by examining an identification document and preventing participation in games if the person is found to be under 18 years of age, by prominently displaying prohibition signs in its business premises, in the Slot Club and Casino, as well as on gaming machines and on its website, by educating employees about the prohibition of participation in games of chance for persons under 18, and by informing about the possible harmful consequences of participating in games of chance, especially in games organized by the Organizer. Parents, i.e., guardians of minors, are also recommended to restrict computer access for persons under 18 years of age and to install protection systems on computers that limit access to certain internet sites for the purpose of preventing participation in games of chance by persons under 18.

Rules of Responsible Participation in Games of Chance

Responsible playing implies that the player is aware that the sole goal of participating in games of chance is entertainment, therefore the player must not be driven by the desire for possible earnings in games of chance, and must have accepted the possibility of loss before beginning to play. At all times, the player must be aware that excessive playing can lead to the development of addiction to games of chance.

The following are the rules that every player should adhere to when participating in games of chance:

  • Participate in games of chance solely and exclusively for entertainment.
  • Before starting to participate in games of chance, clearly define the limit of funds you are prepared to set aside for participation in the game and do not change it.
  • Consider every win you achieve a reward, and the money you lose the cost of your entertainment.
  • Pre-determine the time period you wish to set aside for participation in games of chance and stop playing immediately, regardless of whether you are winning or losing at that moment when that time expires.
  • Before starting to participate in games of chance, be aware that the odds of loss are greater than the odds of winning.
  • Do not participate in games of chance on credit or with borrowed money.
  • Do not participate in games of chance due to wrong motives and for wrong reasons (to avoid problems, to make a profit, etc.).
  • Do not allow participation in games of chance to negatively affect your family, social, and professional life.
  • Do not try to win back money lost in games of chance, as your losses will likely increase the harder you try to recover what was lost.
  • Inform yourself about the signs that indicate compulsive and excessive participation in games of chance so that you can recognize these signs in time, i.e., stop participating in games of chance, and simultaneously help others if you notice these signs of behavior.

Self-assessment Questionnaire to Prevent Excessive Participation in Games of Chance

If a player notices any problem arising from their participation in games of chance (e.g., the goal of playing is exclusively to make a profit or recover lost money, borrowing money to participate in games, playing causes the player stress, inability to set a limit on what the player invests in the game, etc.), we advise the player to urgently seek professional help.

Below is a list of questions taken from the "Gamblers Anonymous" association that should be answered with YES or NO for the purpose of self-assessment of potential excessive participation in games of chance.

  • Has participating in games of chance led to a reduction in your ambitions or efficiency?
  • After a loss, did you feel that you must return the lost amount as soon as possible?
  • After a win, did you have a strong need to win more?
  • Have you ever participated in games of chance until you spent your last euro?
  • Have you ever borrowed money for participating in games of chance?
  • Have you ever sold something to have money for participating in games of chance?
  • Did you use money from winnings or money intended for games of chance with a "heavy heart" for usual living expenses?
  • Did you become neglectful due to participating in games of chance, neglecting your own well-being and/or the well-being of your family?
  • Have you ever participated in games of chance longer than you planned?
  • Do games of chance represent an "escape" from worries, difficulties, boredom, or loneliness for you?

  • Do you feel the need to celebrate a happy event by "treating yourself" to a few hours of participating in games of chance?
  • Have you ever contemplated suicide due to problems caused by participating in games of chance?

If you answer affirmatively to any of the above questions, we advise you to participate in games of chance with caution in the future so that it does not become excessive.

Stake/Loss Limit

Every player who participates in games of chance via the Internet has the right to request the Organizer to set a stake limit or loss limit within their user account or in writing to the e-mail address [email protected].

When a player reaches the amount they set as a limit, a message will appear informing them that they have reached the set limit, and they will not be able to participate in games of chance. The set stake/loss limit applies until revoked.

Exclusion from Play and Exclusion Procedure

A player who participates in casino games, slot games, and betting games, as well as in remote games, can request exclusion from play by submitting a request to the organizer via an exclusion form, in writing or electronically, as well as electronically directly to the register of excluded players.

If the player submits the request directly to the register of excluded players, they will do so via the e-Građani platform (e-Citizen) and the exclusion becomes active within 24 hours of receiving the request in the register, about which the registered player immediately receives a notification in the personal user inbox on the e-Građani portal upon submission of the request.

In addition to the option for the player to submit the request directly to the register of excluded players, the player can do this by submitting the request to the organizer.

The exclusion from play form was published by the Croatian Institute of Public Health, and it must contain at least the following information:

  • Player's first and last name
  • Player's OIB
  • Player's e-mail or address of residence/stay if the person does not have an electronic mail address (for exclusion via business premises)
  • Duration of exclusion (three months irrevocable/ six months/ one year/ three years/ five years/ permanently).

The player can request exclusion from play for a time period of three months (irrevocable), six months, one year, three years, five years, or permanently, and the request form must be signed by the player.

The exclusion request form, in addition to the HZJZ (Croatian Institute of Public Health) website, is available on the organizer's website, in business premises, the Slot Club, and the Casino.

When the organizer submits the exclusion request, the exclusion becomes active within 24 hours of receiving the request in the register, about which the player immediately receives a notification in the personal user inbox on the e-Građani portal or to the e-mail address or address of residence/stay specified in the exclusion request form upon documented entry of the request into the register.

After the exclusion becomes active, the Organizer will prevent the player from participating in games of chance either by blocking the player's user account if it concerns remote gambling, or by asking them to leave the Organizer's premises where games of chance are organized.

The Organizer's employees have the right to take all necessary actions in the Casino / Slot Club / at the betting shop location or on the player's user account if it concerns remote gambling, to prevent the player's access to the game or to remove them from the area where games of chance are organized.

Checking whether a player is registered in the register of excluded players is carried out in two ways:

If the player has an open user account with the organizer for participating in remote games of chance, the organizer performs daily checks by directly connecting to the register of excluded players, and if it determines that the player recorded in its database has excluded themselves via the register of excluded players, it will prevent them from further participation in games of chance. If the player visits betting shop locations, the Casino, or the Slot Club, the check is performed directly at the location, Slot Club, and Casino by the employee entering the player's OIB into the designated application to check if the player is excluded in the register of excluded players and prevent them from participating in games of chance or ask the player to leave the Organizer's premises.

Player exclusion applies until the expiry of the period for which the player requested exclusion in the Request form or until revocation and is valid with all organizers of games of chance.

The player also has the option to revoke the exclusion from play, in which case the request for revocation of the exclusion from play can be submitted electronically directly to the register of excluded players. Revocation of the exclusion from play can be submitted no earlier than three months after the requested exclusion from play, regardless of the duration of the time period for which the exclusion was requested, while it cannot be requested while a certain protective measure and special obligation imposed in court proceedings is in force.
